After four horrific years in her kidnapper's attic, Charlotte has finally been found. While she was suffering unimaginable things, the one thing that sustained her was that she was protecting her amazing family. Her parents are the loving and wonderful, and her twin sister is her best friend. Her kidnapper threatened that he would hurt them if she didn't do what he wanted, and so she has been dedicated to keeping them safe. The only problem is that now she is free her family is not who she remembered. Her parents are divorced, and her dad is remarried with a new baby. Her mom drinks too much, and her sister is an addict who seems to hate her. The one thing that is keeping her from falling apart in her new world is that she has a goal. She knows her kidnapper took another girl who was never found, and she feels if she can find her and bring her family closure, maybe can save herself as well. However, her searches lead her to answers about her own disappearance that she never imagined. This kidnapping story had a shocking ending, and I could not put it down. Highly recommended!
