The same day as Kady Grant broke up with Ezra Mason, their planet is attacked. Only three ships of people survive the deadly attack. While fleeing their still-pursuing attackers, Kady and Ezra are shocked when one of their own ships, the Alexander, blows up one of the three ships, the Copernicus, neutralizing thousands of innocents. When administration on the remaining vessels refuse to explain the incident, Kady decides to take matters in her own hands. Using her computer skills, Kady starts to uncover the dark truth about the perpetrator of the incident and the terribly virus on board the Copernicus. Told in IM, video transcripts, hacked files, military documents, interviews, emails and reports, you learn how far Kady is willing to go uncover the truth and protect the lives of the remaining survivors. I loved the twists and turns of this innovatively told and bloody science fiction story. I felt like I was on board the ships as the survivors fought for their lives from the most unthinkable attackers. For me, the format of the book enhanced the book because I felt like I was one of people getting to the truth behind a horrific incident. It was fascinating, and once I got pulled into the mystery, I couldn't put the book down.
